Stormy Hill
Owner/Therapist

Dr. Stormy Hill, M.D., OTR/L, has been working in pediatrics for several years. She was pre-med and got her BA in French from Duke University, her medical doctorate from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and her MS in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California with an emphasis in pediatrics and sensory integration.

Dr. Stormy’s background includes working in various pediatric clinical rotations, school-based settings, several sensory integration clinics/private practices, hospital setting with complex medical conditions,  and mental health clinic for children. She participated in the Leadership Educational Opportunities in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Training Program (LEND) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles  where she worked on an inter-disciplinary team working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

Dr. Stormy continues to work with children having Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities as well as children with fine and gross motor limitations (ex: handwriting difficulty) hindering academic and home based functioning.  She is passionate about advocating for children and helping the families learn to navigate and advocate within the educational system. She is committed to helping maximize functional independence for each child and creating an environment for each child to succeed in the educational setting.

She was raised in California and received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology & Social Behavior at the University of California Irvine and her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California (USC).

Cathy starting working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during her college years. She was a private Behavior Therapist and was trained in ABA therapy. This lead to her desire to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis in the pediatrics. Through the years, she has worked in various pediatric settings, including school-based, sensory integration clinics, early intervention, and medical-based clinics.

She is a mother of two girls and has been living happily in the Salt Lake Valley for the past 10 years. She enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, and cooking.

Jessica Mortensen

My name is Jessica Mortensen. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I completed my AS degree at Salt Lake Community College. I graduated from the OTA program in 2012. My interests include camping and hiking with my family. I also love to read and recently took up knitting.

I love working with people of all ages, and have worked in several different settings. I especially enjoy working with children, and helping to foster the self-confidence and self-esteem they need to overcome any challenge. I like to play and have fun with children as they discover the joy of experiencing successes.
In my free time I love being with my husband and family, including 4 children and 8 grandchildren. We love to camp, jeep and play games!

Joe Bauer brings a broad range of marketing and organizational skills to Busy Bee. Joe was the managing partner of the Hudson and Bauer show at KFMB Radio with number one ratings for 20 years, in San Diego, California. Their morning drive program brought in over $150,000,000 in revenue.

Joe has helped raise millions of dollars for local charities. May 9th, 2002, was declared “Joe Bauer Day in San Diego” by Mayor Dick Murphy. He is a partner in Northwest Benefit Auctions, an organization designed to teach and assist non-profit groups in fund raising events.

Joe is committed, through Busy Bee Therapy Services, to help educate parents and empower children to overcome obstacles and lead productive and satisfying lives.
